Stupid School

Tue Apr 8, 2008, 5:32 AM
Well, my school's probably going to block deviantart now. Why? Because some science teacher looked over my shoulder and assumed what I was looking at was "inappropriate" because I clicked out of it right away. I dunno about you all, but when I'm in a public place I usually don't let people read what I'm writing to people. I'm nearly an adult, so are many of you fellow deviants, and I'm absolutely sure none of you are going to miss the babyish treatment you get in high school. I've got 25 days left, then high school's done, and I'll be able to view deviantart whenever I damned well please.

Summer is here, and so comes a new challenge.

Sat Jun 10, 2006, 6:05 PM
Hello everyone. My first half of high school, my entire underclassmanship, just

ended 3 days ago. I have received but one B, from my Chemistry class, whose

teacher wasn't too great. However, I have received an A- from Mr. Niner's

Advanced 10th Grade Literature class, which hugely outweighs my general

Chemistry class. I have 2 Advanced Placement classes next year, AP Biology and

AP American History. An A in each as well as an A in every other class should

ensure the return of my A grade point average. I've got summer homework to do,

and quite a lot of it. Next year, I will be a Junior and my friends will be Seniors.

Feels like only yesterday we were just kids as Underclassmen.

Until next time...

Affirmative Action...

Fri Feb 10, 2006, 6:03 PM
I'm sure most, if not all of you have some sort of idea of what affirmative action is.

I am making this entry now to disprove the statistical basis of the idea, which I can by executing a simple equation.

According to statistics, white people are generally more well-off than black people.

white $ > black $

therefore, colleges help out black people because they are generally poorer.

white $ = black $ + aa

however, we have discounted the other section of the two races - the richer of the blacks, and the poorer of the whites.

white $ - aa -35% < black $ + aa + 35%

assuming that the minority of each race that is opposite of its majority is 35%.

As you can see, the "equal opportunity" of affirmative action is made false by the mere existence of affirmative action itself.

Therefore, the equation

white $ -aa -35% < black $ + aa + 35%
______________________________ =
AA

white $ = black $
________________
AA

has no solution. So the denominator, Affirmative Action, is clearly not the correct solution to the race issue in the United States.

Merry Christmas

Sun Dec 25, 2005, 12:20 PM
Hey all. This was a pretty good Christmas. Here's what I got-

Star Wars Episodes I, II, and III DVD's

Samurai Jack Season One DVD

Nintendo DS Electric Blue

Nintendogs: Laborador and Friends

WalMart Contact Lenses for a Year Gift Certificate (lol)

and yeah, that's all. I'm thinking about studying some over the break.

Until next time...

Wow, haven't updated in a while here...

Wed Nov 23, 2005, 8:26 AM
Alright, so here's what happened while I didn't update.

1) School starts.

2) My 15th birthday comes around, and I get a bunch of language learning stuff. Yay.

3) I get my report card. Grades were as follows.

1st hr- A
2nd hr- A
3rd hr- B
4th hr- A
5th hr- A+
6th hr- A-

Anyway, I hope I can raise these grades up come the end of the semester. In fact, I'm on my way right now.

1st hr- A+
2nd hr- A
3rd hr- B+ (it may be an A- now...)
4th hr- A- (I think it is)
5th hr- A+
6th hr- B (preparing for the notebook check, gonna nail strait A's)

Anyway, enough of that boring stuff.
I haven't had the time to draw lately, and well, I may be able to draw in about 3 weeks, maybe this week.

Until then,

~Clawz
